1. Do you sell directly to the public?

Yes, we sell wholesale and directly to the public. Our showroom and warehouse span 12,000 square feet, showcasing a diverse range of rugs, Kilims, art, and home decor in various sizes, colors, and quality. These items are available for in-store purchase six days a week.

2. Do you sell machine-made rugs?

No, we do not sell machine-made rugs. We strongly believe in the superior longevity and aesthetic aging of handmade rugs, paying tribute to traditional craftsmanship while incorporating a modern design palette. Our inventory includes handwoven kilims and hand-knotted rugs.

3. Do you provide rug cleaning and repairs?

Yes, we offer rug cleaning and carpet repair services. To provide accurate assistance, we require information such as the rug size and a description of stains or damage. For instance, does it need a urine treatment, or has a corner of the rug been damaged?

4. Do I need an appointment?

While an appointment is not mandatory, it is preferred. This allows us to better prepare for your showroom visit, potentially preselecting rugs tailored to your space.

5. Can I try rugs at home?

Yes, we provide a free consignment service within the greater Cape Town area. To initiate a consignment, we require a valid form of ID, and complete contact details, and our team will deliver the rugs to confirm your address. Additional information may be requested without prior notice.

6. How do I place an order?

Orders can be conveniently placed through our online website. Simply add your chosen items to the basket, review your order, proceed to checkout, and fill in the necessary information to ensure accurate fulfillment of your order.

7. Are your Rugs and kilims new or used? 

We offer a mix of semi-antique, vintage, and new woven rugs. Our semi-antique and vintage rugs are professionally cleaned and restored, preserving their original character with inherent natural imperfections.

8. What does semi-antique mean? 

We classify semi-antique rugs as those approximately 20-50 years old, unaltered from their original state. Slight imperfections add to the charm of these handcrafted pieces.

9. When will sold-out pieces be restocked? 

Our rugs are often unique, one-off pieces carefully chosen for their character. Once sold, exact pieces can't be re-sourced, but explore our extensive collection for similar designs.

10. Can I get a certain rug in another size? 

Our collection comprises unique pieces, but if you love a rug and want a different size, let us know, While we can't guarantee the exact piece, we'll provide close alternatives.

11. Will rug colors match what I see online? 

We strive for color accuracy in our studio. For precise colors, refer to close-up product images. Note: pile thickness may affect color perception based on the viewing angle.

12. What is abrash? 

Abrash is a natural color variation caused by differences in textures and dyes, creating a striped appearance in areas of the same color.

13. Is it normal for my new rug to shed? 

New rugs from India and Pakistan may shed initially due to the shearing process. Vacuum to remove loose threads. Avoid pulling; use scissors.

14. Why do you fold rugs before shipping? 

Rugs 5’ x 8’ and larger are folded for shipping, but this won't damage them. Creases may appear but will settle after lying out for a few days.

15. Can I see rugs in your Montreal Showroom? 

For those in Greater Montreal, visit our showroom by appointment (Mon-Fri, 10 am – 5 pm). Email abcrugskilims@gmail.com to schedule.

16. Are all website rugs available in the Los Angeles  Showroom?                                                   

Yes, all listed rugs are in stock and can be viewed in our Montreal Showroom.

17. Are all rugs washed before shipping? 

All rugs undergo professional washing and inspection before being listed in our shop.

18. What if I want to try 2 rugs but plan on keeping one? 

Reach out for additional videos and photos to aid your decision. If you decide to order both, let us know which one you'll return. Refund details apply.

19. How do I know if my item is eligible for a return? 

You have 10 days to exchange or return your rugs if you receive damage. Exceptions include clearance, closeout, and flash sale rugs, along with rug pads.
